Raise Your Game To the Next Level with Lawrence Competitive Travel.
Elevate your child's baseball or softball game with LTJBSA Competitive Travel! Established in 2015, LTJBSA Competitive Travel is a non-profit youth organization designed to give young athletes the chance to compete at a high level alongside their school or recreational season. We offer teams for different age groups: - Mercer Baseball Club: 13U+
- Lawrence Thunder Baseball: 7U-12U
- Lawrence Storm Softball: 7U-18U
Our player-first goal is to provide excellent development and a premier tournament experience, all while keeping costs low. A full year with LTJBSA (spring season, summer tournaments, and winter training) averages just $650–$750, significantly less than the thousands charged by larger, for-profit organizations.
We prioritize individual player development over winning trophies. Our focus on local players and small team sizes means more reps and personalized attention for every athlete. We have access to excellent facilities at Lawrence Central and Ewing Moody park, including well-maintained grass fields and year-round indoor training. Our dedicated coaching staff comprises high school coaches, teachers, and former and current college athletes passionate about helping players succeed both individually and as a team.
We encourage our players to participate in multiple sports, but we do ask that those invited to join LTJBSA dedicate time to our year-round program to build their baseball and softball skills. This commitment allows us to provide an environment that fosters continuous improvement in fundamental techniques and promotes mental, social, and emotional well-being.
We strive to develop well-rounded student-athletes who are committed to excellence on the field, in the classroom, and in their communities. Our alumni have gone on to successful careers at public and private high schools, with many continuing to play in college programs and then becoming coaches themselves.
Our teams participate in a variety of competitive travel leagues and tournaments throughout their season, including:
